The Problem

The issue of unaffordable and inaccessible homeownership touches the core of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Physiological needs, including shelter, are the foundation of this pyramid. Yet, in today's world, the youth face growing challenges in attaining these basic necessities. Air, water, food, sleep, clothing, and especially shelter should be accessible globally, ensuring a solid foundation for all.

High Cost of Capital for Retail Investors

Investing in real estate is expensive for retail investors, who often face high costs like down payments and closing fees. This makes it difficult for them to invest in high-yield properties globally, leaving many eager investors unable to participate in lucrative opportunities. As a result, wealth in real estate tends to be concentrated among institutional investors and the wealthy, limiting access for everyday individuals.

Illiquid Assets

Even when retail investors purchase fractionalized property tokens, they struggle with liquidity issues. These tokens often cannot be easily sold or traded, making it hard for investors to access their capital when they need it. This lack of liquidity creates uncertainty and can discourage retail investors from entering the market, reducing overall participation and growth in real estate investment.

Housing Affordability

Housing affordability is a pressing issue across the globe. 58% of people around the globe say they can’t afford to buy a home in their local market and 99% of nations say that homes are deemed unaffordable for the average American.

Being Landlocked & Not Diversified

For both real estate owners & investors, being "landlocked" to a specific property can hinder their ability to maximise their living & investments experiences in other geographical locations. By only owning a single property, they are only tied to its performance and market conditions, which might prevent them from capitalising on lucrative opportunities and possible higher yields in different regions or property types globally.

Flexibility & Transparent Financing

For homeowners, the traditional process of purchasing a house can be burdensome due to lengthy approval procedures, dealing with lots of third parties, lack of education on procedures and the lack of transparency in fees and interest rates.
